Usage

The organic silicone wound contact dressing is a primary dressing used when there are potential problems with adhesion of the wound. It is a single-sided soft silicone thin transparent dressing that conforms to the shape of your wound. It is used for treating skin lacerations and abrasions, foot and leg ulcers, blisters, and partial/full-thickness grafts.

Instructions for use

1. Preparation stage
Clean the wound: Rinse with normal saline, gently pat with sterile gauze until slightly moist (do not use iodophor/alcohol, as residual chemicals can damage the silicone adhesive).
Measurement dimensions: The silicone layer should cover the wound and extend 2-3 cm outward (avoid adhering to the edge of the wound).
2. Adhesion operation
Type Operation points
Single-sided silicone layer Apply the silicone surface to the wound, with the grid facing outward → Directly cover the gauze/foam dressing and apply pressure for fixation.
3. Replacement and removal
Replacement timing:
When the outer dressing leaks (more than 50% of the area) or every 3-7 days (adjusted according to the amount of leakage).
The silicone layer turns white or semi-transparent (indicating saturation with absorbed exudate).

Precautions

Disable status:
Active bleeding wounds, third-degree burns, fungal/bacterial infected wounds (requiring antiseptic treatment first).
Those allergic to silicone (rare, but a skin test is required for the first use).
Storage Requirements:
Store at room temperature (10 - 25℃) in a sealed container. High temperature will cause the silica gel to liquefy and lose its effectiveness.
