Paraffin Gauze Specification

Base material: 100% cotton gauze or acetate, with good breathability and fluid absorption.

Impregnant: White petrolatum or paraffin to maintain moisture and prevent sticking.

① Low adhesion: Prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound, reducing pain and trauma during dressing changes;

② Good breathability: Open mesh structure promotes air circulation;

③ Maintains a moist environment: Helps accelerate wound healing;

④ Sterile processing: Typically sterilized using ethylene oxide (EO) or gamma radiation;

⑤ Soft and comfortable: Conforms to the body's contours and is suitable for various areas of the body;

⑥ Compatible with medications: Can be used in conjunction with antibiotics or antibacterial ointments;

⑦ Anti-fray design: Some products feature a locked edge to prevent the gauze from unraveling.

Paraffin gauze dressings are suitable for a variety of wound types, including:

①Burns (especially superficial second-degree burns); 

②Abrasions, cuts, and lacerations; 

③Skin graft sites (donor and recipient sites); 

④Chronic ulcers (such as pressure ulcers and venous ulcers); 

⑤Postoperative wound coverage; 

⑥Radiation-induced skin injury protection

①Carefully clean the wound and its surrounding area with sterile water or saline solution and dry the surrounding skin gently.

②Select the right size of dressing for the wound area. Carefully open the sterile pouch to remove the dressing inside.

③A secondary dressing is necessary when using Gauze Dressing. If needed, cut the tape and dressing using sterile scissors.

④The Gauze should be changed daily in heavily exudative wounds, reduced to every 3 days as the healing process proceeds. Otherwise to be changed a clinically directed. The dressing should also be removed if the dressing has completely dried.

⑤Remove the dressing using tweezers or a gloved hand. Remove the dressing from the skin slowly and gently. The dressing may adhere if used on a dry wound. In this case removal of the dressing can be helped by soaking the wound with sterile saline.

① Flammability Warning: This product contains paraffin, which is highly flammable. Keep away from open flames, heat sources, and smoking environments.

② Regular Change: The dressing should be changed regularly to prevent the accumulation of exudate.

③ Avoid Infection: If you notice any signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, abnormal exudate, or an odor, seek medical attention immediately.

④ Not Reusable: This is a sterile, disposable product. Please dispose of it properly after use.

⑤ Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
