IFU |
1. Clean the wound with saline and the wound edge skin shall be wiped dry.
3. Peel off the release paper.
4. Put hyrocolloid in wound and smooth edges to ensure adhesion.
5. When absorption is saturated, it is suggested to change the dressing timely.
|
Precautions |
1. Before use, the wound shall be thoroughly cleaned and the wound edge skin shall be wiped dry. 2. A hydrocolloid dressing about 2cm wider than the wound edge shall be selected to ensure sufficient adhesion with the skin. 3. If the depth of the wound exceeds 5cm, appropriate dressing shall be selected to fill the cavity before using hydrocolloid dressing. 4. This is product is not suitable for wounds with large amount of exudate. 5. The swelling and whitening of the dressing after absorption and expansion are normal phenomena. When absorption is saturated, it is suggested to change the dressing.
6. In the early stage of application of hydrocolloid dressing, it may sometime be found that the wound is enlarged instead, which is caused by the debridement of dressing and a normal phenomenon.
7. Due to the fusion of hydrocolloid molecules and exudates, gel is formed. Sometimes it looks like purulent secretion, so it’s mistaken for wound infection. It will be fine after rinsing the gel with normal saline.
8. The use of hydrocolloid dressings sometimes produces a certain odor, which can disappear after cleaning the wound with saline.
